busy busy busy...not

So I have epically failed at keeping my blog updated. I have the worst time management ever! I've been trying so hard to stay on top of things, but sometimes it just doesn't happen. And I'm not even that busy. I work, but I'm not doing school right now (that will be changing soon) and I am not full out training for my next show (Sept. 22 by the way for all those that care) so I have time that I know I waste.
I've been feeling like a super lame wife lately. I hear about how other people are as wives and I feel like I've failed in that department. I'm trying though. I just get all stressed out by the list of stuff I have to do, that I don't even want to do any of it. Lame, I know. And my dumb ADD self will jump from one project to another, so nothing gets finished. And Corey works so hard so he deserves better for sure. Last week he had to leave for for at 4:45 am! The whole week! I think I would die. One night he didn't get home until 8. Needless to say he is ready for his vacation.
I seriously can't wait until July because we are off to NYC! I'm so so stoked!!! July is a busy month for us. Corey's birthday is the 12th, My sister is getting married the 14th (so excited I might add), then we leave late the 15th to New York until Thursday. I have a list a mile long of things I want to do. It's going to be nice though to just spend time together and not have to worry about work or anything like that. My dogs are seriously driving me insane sometimes, but I know it's not their fault. I haven't been spending as much time with them as I need to, and they get bored. Hopefully when I have children, they don't get so deprived. haha.
Corey's best friend also came out from California to get married, and Corey was the best man. Listening to the ceremony reminded both Corey and I of the vows we took a year and a half ago. Has it really been that long? Geeze. So at the reception I LOVED watching Corey dance. Once of my favorite things about him is that he can dance. Me, not so much. I can't move it at all! I'm hoping our kids take after him.
So that is most of the boringness that is going on at the Bausch home. Lets see if I can keep up this blog thing.

What I've Learned and Think

So I've learned so much from doing my figure competitions, that I thought I would share some of the things I go through. A lot of people don't really understand what I do, but once you read about it online or something, it all makes sense.

I've Learned
Telling myself I don't want that piece of pizza makes it worse.
Smelling bad food for me is worse than seeing it.
Cardio is Evil!
My legs are my weak point. I always thought they were the best until about 6 months ago.
I eat a ton. More than I thought I could.
I have horrible self-control with food. It's improving slowly but surely.
Clear heels are hard to walk in.
Oatmeal is awesome.
Tuna fish stinks. Badly.
I always must be within 10 minutes of a bathroom.
I can drink more water than I thought possible.
The right protein powder is awesome.
Figure suit are crazy expensive for tiny amounts of fabric.
Waxing hurts!
I'm not as awesome as I think sometimes.
Calves are so hard to grow.
Dieting is a science I have yet to fully understand.
I love the gym!!!!
I hate when people dong rack their weights. Yes, I can pick up the heavy weight, doesn't mean I want to.
I HATE when people just sit on machines!
I really really hate when I see girls not using the free weights and just sitting on machines or walking.
I have horrible time management.

Things I Think
I hate this!
I love this!
I'm going to die.
Get out of my way.
FOOOD!
After my show I'm going to eat this, and this, and this....
Ouch.
After leg day: I can't bend over.
Why do I do this?
*Checks self out* Ooo that looks nice.
I need to pee.
I'm late for this.
Is it time to eat yet?
Quarter turn to the right.
I'm tired.

Finally...

So I have decided I'm going to religiously update our (my) haha blog at least once a week. I kinda had that in my head as a new years resolution, but you know how long those last. So I'll update you on recent(ish) random stuff going on.

New House!!!!!!!! FINALLY! Like you have seriously have no idea how much stupid stuff we had to go through to get it. We got pre-approved and were so excited that we knew the price range we could look in. Plus we were going to get 100% Financing=no down payment= more money for Italy trip. (More on that later.) We knew we Corey wanted a garage. That was the major deciding factor in the home we chose. I basically picked the house and as long as it had a garage and shed, we could both be happy. Don't tell Corey, but I secretly think the garage is awesome to have, and I'm so glad he was so adamant about it.
So we found our house. The lucky sellers had it on the market for two weeks before we put an offer on it. Stupid Item #1: Getting closer to closing we remembered Corey didn't file taxes in 09 since he would get nothing back. So we had to hurry and have him file and extend the closing date a month. It was supposed to be right before Thanksgiving. Stupid Item #2:Underwriters DON'T care about deadlines. Extended closing date to before Christmas. Stupid Item #3: Our first loan officer went on bedrest so we had to switch to another officer. Then two weeks before closing we found out first loan officer qualified us for a loan we made TOO much for! Seriously?! How do you even do that, and get that far in the underwriting process. Yep, still a bit annoyed about that. So we had to scramble to get another loan. We did and had to come up with almost 5,000. Awesome huh? Thank goodness for helpful family and liens. Extended closing date again. No big deal huh? We should be used to this. Our loan was supposed to be funded after closing, right before the new year. Didn't happen. Surprise suprise. Now we pretty much had our idiot landlords pushing us out of our current place. We got a little lucky and the sellers let us move our stuff into the garage over the weekend until the bank stopped being extremely slow.
And Hallelujah, we got the keys to our first home on January 3, 2012.

And it's freakin' awesome! I love being a homeowner. We were put through so much stress (especially Corey) and it all turned out okay. I'm so grateful for all the help we had moving and painting. It's so nice to finally be settled in. For the most part. I have SO much I want to do with this home. It has serious potential.
House Details
  • 3 (possibly 4 bedrooms)
  • 1 bathroom (I slightly regret this decision now)
  • Living room/Dining nook?
  • Tiny kitchen that I love/hate
  • Garage/man cave
  • Almost 3/4 acre
  • Fenced in back yard (Dog kennel and two picnic tables were included. Score!)
  • Two old sheds that Corey has some majorly awesome plauns for! :)
  • Red Door. Had to add that because it's one of my favorite things.
It's not the most amazing house ever, but I love it, and I think it's growing on Corey.
So where are the pictures?
Well....I want to get the house a bit more decorated before I show you all. Plus when I was going to put up some before decorating, I could not find my camera cord anywhere. But now it is found. Crazy the stuff you can't find after a move. But I will put up one lame, blurry, unorganized one up of my kitchen. It's from a couple months ago but not a ton has changed.
Was it amazing as I made it sound? Haha. Phone pictures are never flattering. So that is the house. More pictures soon. Because I just love showing it off. Only a little bit.

In Other Random News
We now have three dogs, and a kitten. Hoarders much? But I love my fur babies so much. Corey tolerates them, hates them, but in the end I'm pretty sure he loves them as much as I do. So now to list them.
Chevelle (Pit Bull)
This is an older picture, but you get the idea right? He is such a big baby. People get a little scared of  him sometimes, but generally the reaction from people is positive.

Gizmo (Pomeranian/ Chihuahua Mix?)

She is seriously insane. I told myself I would NEVER have a Chihuahua. But she is adorable in her own crazy way. She had just gotten groomed in this picture, and only looked that clean for about two days. She thinks she can play with the big dogs.

Charger (German Shepard)

What a smart dog! He has doubled in size since this picture and he is only 6 months old! I'm so glad we got him though even if he is huge. We were worried he would be too much work and get neglected, but that hasn't been the case at all. Him and Chevelle keep each other company and no real dominance issues so far. We're hoping it stays that way.

Blu (Tabby Mix)

Blu was my early birthday present, and I was SO excited to get him. He and Gizmo love each other and cuddle together every night. Charger came in the house once when Blu was in the cage, and I think Charger was the one more terrified. So no big dogs in Blu's life anytime soon. He loves to sit on your shoulder like a little bird, and ALWAYS has to be up in your business. He has taken a special liking to Corey, and they are getting pretty attached to each other.

So that is a bit of what is going on. Oh and I'm 21 as of two days ago. Yay me. :)
